BCCC 2025 at Farran Park - August 26 - September 01, 2025

Another year and we are off to the Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty which is again being held in conjunction with The Cornwall District Kennel Club show at Farran Park, Ingleside, ON. Our friends, Jane and Michel, from St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, NB decided early on to join us for a week of camping and a chance to show their little Cairn Terrier, Gemma. Jane, ever the super organizer, managed to book us 2 great sites at the park on the day bookings opened.

Besides Rod being the treasurer of the BCCC, we also planned to show our 2 beardies. We especially focussed on our younger girl, Lyra (Briarpatch Strathearn Heart's Acclaim), in hopes of finishing her CKC CH. She finished her AKC CH back in May thanks to her breeder, Lucy Campbell. Star handler Emily Burdon was engaged to save her from Rod's handling. Besides the Specialty, Lyra was entered in all the CDKC shows in Open Bitch. We also entered Josie (CH Kaboodle Many Happy Returns For Strathearn RA) as a "Special" in the Specialty.

Over this week would be Rod's 75th birthday which would serve as an excuse for more partying.

The show entry was good and a lot of old friends were coming.
